NEW LONDON – The London Wildcats will hold their biennial school reunion on Saturday, March 19 and Sunday, March 20.
Registration begins at 10:00 Saturday, at the West Rusk High School auditorium, followed by a general meeting until 12 noon. A barbeque lunch will be served at the school cafeteria from 12:00 until 1:30. Class reunions will be held in separate classrooms.
There will be a social event from 6:00 to 11:00 p.m. at the new Henderson Civic Center on Highway 64 West, Henderson, Texas, with a catered dinner served from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m.
On Sunday morning at 10:00 a.m., there will be a Memorial Service in West Rusk auditorium. This service is in memory of the March 18, 1937 gas explosion that killed or injured hundreds of children, teachers, and school visitors. The memorial service will honor those who died, and to comfort those who remain. The service also honors all who participated in the rescues.
