Stephen Longtin

    TROUP – Services for Stephen Daniel “Scooter” Longtin, 26, Troup, are scheduled for 4 p.m. Thursday, April 14, in the Cottle-Pearson Funeral Home chapel with Pastor Billy Fergerson officiating. Burial will be in Asbury Cemetery, near Overton.

   Mr. Longtin died Friday, April 8, 2011 in Longview. He was born April 13, 1984 in Galveston. He attended Troup High School and was employed by 4Sight as a derrick worker.

   He was preceded in death by a son, Chance Longtin; and his uncle, Billy Gene Lane. 

   Survivors include his sons, Michael Ryan Longtin, Henderson, Landon Lee Henderson, Palestine, and Jeremiah Belcher Longtin, Troup; a daughter, Hanah Nicole Henderson, Palestine; parents, Ronnie and Bonnie Burks, Troup; grandparents, Billy and JoAnn Ramey, Winona, and Claudette Longtin, Kilgore; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Billy and Kara Wilson, Henderson, and Jeffery Longtin, Grapeland; sister and brother-in-law, Destiny and Steven Edwards, Troup; uncles and aunts, Stephen and Tamara Ihlenfeldt, Danny Ihlenfeldt, Beverly Ihlenfeldt, Melissa Lane, and Janie Longtin; and numerous nephews and nieces.

   Pallbearers will be B. J. Wilson, John Robertson, Jeremy Robertson, Jeffery Robertson, Stevie Edwards, and D. J. Ihlenfeldt,

   Honorary pallbearers will be Stephen Ihlenfeldt and Danny Ihlenfeldt.

   The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 13.
