The Balloon Shop, located at 118 S. Rusk St. in Overton, opened last Thursday with a ribbon cutting sponsored by the Overton-New London Chamber of Commerce. Owners Diana Sieber and Jamie Copeland, holding scissors, were joined by vendors who have items in their shop, which customers may enter through The Hairitage salon next door. In addition to balloons and candy bouquets, the store includes booths for Truly Trendy, jewelry and other items; Cutting Edge Design, custom t-shirts and caps; Wix End candles, tarts and tart warmers; and Sparkle Galz Boutique, bows, children’s wear and custom embroidery.
